Classic Cars are Superstars
Cars are toys for the big boys; it is designed to send people into their destinations. Every man loves to control the world. This dream is far from reality, which makes vehicles a good substitute since the owner can control them. Cars are like babies that require care; they are designed to make you look good, provided that you give them the right concern. No matter how we care to these cars, unexpected problems are inevitable.
The bad news is, no technology can predict such event, especially when you use a classic car which requires a special attention and care. These types of cars are like a precious gem which requires the owner, to handle such with extra level of care. Maintaining such cars is like entering into a romantic relationship, the only difference is the owner has the sole responsibility to make it work. Similar with diamonds these types of cars in this modern world became a status symbol, everyone wants it but only few can have it. Cars are not just simple things that take you to the right destinations; they are like expensive perfumes that only few can wear; they are superstars which put the audience in awe. Owners acts like its road managers.

Nothing beats a smart shopper
Purchasing quality products at an affordable always makes a consumer winner. Using coupons can save you a lot of money. Information about rebates can be found in forum sites such as Techbargains, FatWallet.com, and Ebates.
Price cut makes a techie hot
There is high demand on MacBook, but its high price means a huge cut in the salary. But never worry, when Apple announces new model, price cuts occur. Take advantage on these price cuts. Be vigilant when Amazon .com, MacConnection and MacMall, clear out older stocks. Older stocks may not sound, but it is good as new. Buying à la carte really helps; when new PC models arrive expect a discount on old models.
Manufacturers’ site is just a click away for your special needs
While some brands design great models, features you need may not be found in the product. Worrying will not solve the problem, visiting the manufacturers’ website will answer that need. Moreover, if you are not contented with the design and you need an expensive processor, feel free to contact them and talk about your problem. Off the shelf model will not give you the advantage that configure- to-order can. Before you order the product make sure to double check your choices.
Right time is still the best time
To make a room for new models, older inventory must be cleared. This usually done in January, July and October making it the best time to shop. During back-to school season many firms such as Apple, offers free iPods and educational discount for students. If you are one of those MacBook dreamers always keep an eye on the company’s new–product announcement.

Laptop features sets its future
Laptops are the best partner for success; we spend more time typing commands in the laptop than talking with the boss. They are designed to make our life easier, so before purchasing it, try it out first if you can. Yu can get most out in a laptop if you are comfortable using it. Buying laptops with mushy keyboard is just a waste of money. Touchpads can be found easily, and does not require great energy when you press it. It should be large enough to cover the whole screen without lifting it in just one touch. Laptops should run quietly, if it gives irritating noise it suggests something wrong. Look for glossy screen that would best suit your interest. These tips can prolong the life of the laptops.
Thinking green is the best thing
As responsible citizens of the world, we should always be stylish without forgetting our responsibility in caring the Earth. Make sure that power supply of our laptops operates efficiently, this does not only give us security against fire, and it also helps in electric bill austerity. Qualified computer should bear energy star labels. Energy star program stated that this new standard will not be the cause of price increase. Computer brand must use only the materials in the EPEAT guideline, if your computer brand does not have it do not patronize it. www.epeat.net is the best palce where you an find list EPEAT compliant systems.
Your simple ways will not be put to waste
Never underestimate your power to lessen the electronic wastes. In disposing your electronic devices, make sure to ask the advice of manufacturer. Recycling programs vary from one company to another; do not be afraid to ask. Your simple way will make a long way in caring for the environment.

My Magic Recycling Robot Box
By Patricia Isabelle A. Nacional (Grade VI-Generosity 2011-2012)
Given a chance to invent and create something that could lessen global warming, I would create a Magic Recycling Robot Box. This box can recycle materials into new things.
It is a green robot that is shaped like a box. It can recycle anything except very big things, because it is just as small as a long sized bond paper. It has a mind similar with creative persons’ so that it can think of items that we can make with the piece of junk. The process will last for only about 30 minutes. This box also comes with a manual and a recycled bag made out of colourful juice packets. The bag will serve as a protective case for the Magic Recycling Robot Box.
You place the materials in the box; after a few minutes the piece of junk that you were once holding will come out of the robot box. This box will cost Php 999.00. It uses eco-friendly batteries to lessen the harmful effects of man’s actions to earth. This box would make a wonderful difference to the world. There will be lesser dumpsters, lesser pollution, lesser trash and definitely lesser calamities. If my Magic Recycling Robot Box is successful, I will manufacture more and maybe even invent other products which will also help lessen global warming and help protect the earth more, like Cleaning Robots, which clean the dumpsters and organize the trash; Magic Recycling Bins, which help us know where to throw the trash, if you throw it in the blue bin, but it is supposed to be in the red bin, it will alarm and tell you where to throw it. I wish that I were really given the chance to create all this, because I love making things because I am very artistic and creative. If you were given the chance to create and invent something, what would you pick? Just remember, it’s the fun and recycling that count, not the money!

Fight Global Warming
by Jose Kyle Gabriel Lagdameo (Grade VI-Perseverance 2011-2012)
Land slides, drought, flash floods, and very strong typhoons are what we encounter daily. If we study the entire crisis we’ve gone through, we can trace it back to global warming. Global warming is an effect due to the ignorance of man. People throw plastic anywhere causing our sewers or “esteros” to be blocked, which in turn can cause dangerous floods.
Another cause of global warming is the excessive use of CFC’s or Chlorofluorocarbons, a cheap and inexpensive chemical for cooling which, however, has a detrimental side effect. It has been found that CFC’s can cause the depletion of the ozone layer. So, how can we solve this? Option A: Be responsible and clean your trash. (Which will take um.......100 years or so?) Option B: Someone make my idea come to life and realistic.
Since matter cannot be destroyed only changed, my idea on how to make the world a lot cleaner and better is a machine which can transform plastic into ozone or oxygen and the remains will become an organic fertilizer. The machine is powered by solar energy, (go green!) so it runs all day and cools all night. Plastic is melted in acid and then transferred to another container where it can be cleaned through black carbon. The plastic is now biodegradable and the air in the container will be released. The gas from the container mixes with CO2 and O2 converting it into ozone or oxygen. The remains of the plastic will be used as an organic fertilizer.
Wouldn’t it be nice if everyone would just be more responsible; even for just another 30% or more will do? Have you breathe fresh air with the smell of jasmine or lavender or felt the cool and refreshing breezes on a hot afternoon? If you have, don’t you miss it?
Now, pollution is everywhere, in the air. Smog has taken its toll in several parts of the Philippines especially in Manila. In the water, the once clear blue waters of our rivers have now become dark brown, with lots of wastes and trash on the sides. Everyday our sewers and canals display gallons and gallons of black muck on our very rivers where we get our fish and water.
We must take a stand and do ourselves a favor and for our mother nature. Due to modernization of our times our nature has suffered a lot from the hands of man, so man should return a favor.

NEPTUNE: Azure Giant Gas Planet
Group 7 of Grade V-Humility 2011-2012
Neptune is an azure giant gas planet, which is made up of various ices such as water, ammonia and methane and rock. It is the eighth planet from the Sun and the fourth largest (by size) of the eight planets. It is smaller in size but it's heavier than Uranus. It is nearly 4 times the size of Earth and is 17 times the Earth’s mass. Its revolution takes 164.79 Earth days. Neptune has 13 known moons; 12 small ones and a large moon called "Triton." Triton has an estimated temperatures of -235.2 °C (38 Kelvin). Some other moons are Nereid, Naiad, Thalassa, Despina, Galatea, Proteus, Sao, Laomedeia, Halimede, Psamathe, Neso, and Larissa. As Neptune is the Roman god of the seas, the moons are named after lesser sea gods. Neptune is the first planet found by mathematical prediction rather than empirical observation. Its astronomical symbol is a stylized version of the god Neptune’s trident. In Roman mythology, Neptune was the god of the Sea. He is known as Poseidon in Greek mythology. The planet was probably named after the sea god because of its deep blue color. Its moon is probably named Triton for in Roman Mythology, his immortal son’s name is Triton. Neptune's blue color is the result of a gas called methane in its atmosphere. Like the other gas planets, it has rapid winds trapped in "bands" of latitude and large storms. Neptune's winds are the fastest in the solar system, reaching 2000 km/hour. It, along with Uranus is classified as “ice giants”. Neptune has been visited by only one spacecraft, Voyager 2 on Aug 25, 1989. Almost everything we know about it comes from this one visit. At the time of Voyager 2's flyby, Neptune's most outstanding feature was the "Great Dark Spot" in the southern hemisphere. It was about half the size as Jupiter's "Great Red Spot" - about 1 Earth would fit into it. Neptune's winds blew the Great Dark Spot westward at 300 meters/second (700 mph). It suffers the most violent weather in our Solar System. Storms have been spotted swirling around its surface and freezing winds that blow about ten times faster than hurricanes on Earth make it the windiest planet.
Voyager 2 also saw a smaller dark spot in the southern hemisphere and a small irregular white cloud that zipped around Neptune every 16 hours or so now. This feature is known as "The Scooter." During Voyager 2’s visit, they found out that its mass is 17 times of Earth yet only 1/19th of Jupiter’s. Neptune has an equatorial radius of 24764 km. Neptune’s atmosphere is 80% hydrogen and 19% helium. Trace amounts of methane can also be found.
Neptune has a planetary ring system, though one much less substantial than that of Saturn. The rings may consist of ice particles coated with silicates or carbon-based material, which most likely gives them a reddish hue. The three main rings are the narrow Adams Ring, 63000 km from the center of Neptune, the Le Verrier Ring, at 53000 km, and the broader, fainter Galle Ring, at 42000 km. A faint outward extension to the Le Verrier Ring has been named Lassell. The Arago Ring at 57000 km bound it at its outer edge. The outermost ring, Adams, contains five prominent arcs now named Courage, Liberty, Equality and Fraternity. The axial tilt of Neptune is 28.32°,[95] which is similar to the tilts of Earth (23°) and Mars (25°). As a result, this planet experiences similar seasonal changes.
Recently, however, the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) showed that the Great Dark Spot has disappeared! Scientists think that it has either dissipated (like our storms do) or is currently being hidden by Neptune's atmosphere. Also, HST discovered a new dark spot in Neptune's northern hemisphere. This shows that it's atmosphere changes rapidly. Neptune also has rings. The Voyager 2 spacecraft showed scientists that it indeed has complete rings with bright clumps. Like Uranus and Jupiter, Neptune's rings are very dark and very faint. Scientists still haven't figured out what they are made of yet. Neptune can be seen with binoculars (if you know exactly where to look) but a large telescope is needed to see anything other than a tiny disk. But did you know that there were many suggestions on what to name Neptune? Some name suggestions are Janus, the 2 headed god of choices, Oceanus, the titan of oceans, and Le Verrier, in honor of the person who discovered Neptune.
